In the last week of December 1984, Brother Charles F. Scott, aged about 70 years, came to Bangladesh from Monteagle, Tennessee of USA to explore the possibility of preaching the Gospel here. He met Late James Swapon Chowdhury in a hotel and discussed about preaching the Gospels with him and left Bangladesh after sometime.

In a letter to him, Charles Scott wished to come again in Bangladesh and wanted to held a seminar with about 40 youths from different domination in Bangladesh on December 1985. Charles Scott got a positive response from Late James Swapon Chowdhury.

Then Late James Swapon Chowdhury entrusted Michael A. Shah with the responsibility of organizing the seminar which was held at Dhaka YMCA in the last week of December 1985, with 40 Youth Participants from different dnomination. Charles Scott was introduced with Michael A. Shah about Church of Christ and preached the Gospel. Michael A. Shah and his wife Rebecca Shah decided and informed Charles Scott to work for Lord and cooperate with the church in all matter. Charles Scott went to India and returned with two other brothers. They went to Gazipur Tea Garden, Kulaura in the district of Moulovibazar. They started to work for God, spreading His Kingdom through His Church.

Michael A. Shah started preaching on the February 25, 1986 with Charles Scott and Todd Keaple at the tea garden by interpreting from English to Bengali, spoken by Todd Keaple. On the February 26, 1986, Todd Keaple baptized Micheal A. Shah. Michael A. Shah started to preach among his family members, relatives and baptized them. Gradually more people came to know about the God’s Kingdom and were baptized. Thus Church of Christ established in Bangladesh. Every year, Charles Scott used to come in Bangladesh with two or more foreign preachers to preach all over the country with Michael A. Shah and established churches which will continue eternally.
